yes, they appear to be friends! they even did a short comedy video together, here, if you haven’t seen! i don’t think this is the “ben” he’s mentioned in interviews though.

aww thank you so much! i miss when it was daily too… this summer has been crazy busy for me so i haven’t had much time to spend on the internet as i’d like (today is my first day off since i went to comic-con lol), but i still appreciate the kind words and those who continue to follow! :)

thank you! for me it only took about 2 months. i wrote him in the middle of june and received his response in mid-august. the time it takes usually depends on his filming schedule. since dexter is on hiatus from filming right now, he’s been doing a lot of press and traveling, so i imagine he may not have much time to respond. so yeah, for some it might take more than 3 months, but i do believe he does eventually respond to everyone! good luck!

well there will for sure be a season 7 and season 8, and all signs point to season 8 being the last, with the last 2 episodes of season 6 setting up what looks to be a 24-episode series finale. exciting!

yes, he’s done a lot of them over the past year or so.. i always stop whatever i’m doing and listen every time one comes on, haha! there’s a playlist of about 40 of them here!

i would suggest writing to the california one, since he’s currently filming dexter now, but i think they finish filming around the middle of october, so if you send a letter now, i’m not sure if he’d get it before filming wraps for the season. but if you use the new york address, i’m pretty sure his mail is forwarded to him in california since i received responses from both addresses on the same day :)

and he may be busy, but i’m sure he will respond! i know quite a few people who have also written to him and gotten responses. he almost always will sign the pictures personally to you, and sometimes he will include little messages, like how he wrote “all the best” on one of mine. :)

so definitely give it a shot! some advice: print out the photos you want signed on nice paper at some place like office max and include a SASE when you write to him so that way all he has to do is just sign the pictures and send the envelope. also, i remember reading an interview where he said he likes receiving handwritten letters since that is so rare these days, and it definitely adds a nice touch. good luck! :)
