According to Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter, Ben Foster has joined the cast of Kill Your Darlings. The cast reportedly includes Michael C. Hall, Daniel Radcliffe, Elizabeth Olsen and Jack Huston. The film will tell “the previously untold story of murder that brought together a young Allen Ginsberg (Radcliffe), Jack Kerouac (Huston) and William Burroughs (Foster) at Columbia University in 1944, providing the spark that would lead to their Beat Revolution.”
The film is the feature directorial debut of Austin Bunn who co-wrote the script with John Krokidas. The story of friendship and murder sees Radcliffe continuing to distance himself from his Harry Potter persona, here playing Allen Ginsberg. Huston is Jack Kerouac and Foster is William Burroughs. Hall will play Burrough’s longtime friend who fell victim to a murder that helped spark the Beat Revolution in 1944.
Principal photography will begin March 19 at Columbia.
